Classics Dancehall Reggae Songs - Since the birth of Reggae music in the late 1960s and Dancehall Music in the late 1970s, there are numbers of what we classified as Classics dancehall and Reggae songs.
What is a Classic Song? - "A classic is an outstanding example of a particular style, something of lasting worth or with a timeless quality." It's not the age but "lasting worth", whatever that may be".
In other words, these are songs which will never ever grows old.
Before posting our list, here is a prime example of one of, if not the biggest Reggae classic song of all time. It's Bob Marley's "One Love". This song is played and sung all over the world If you haven't heard it before listen below.
I just did a quick check on popular music and video sharing platform YouTube and it's showing that "One Love" was played over 164million times.
Bob Marley is not the only Reggae or Dancehall artists who have done Classics Dancehall and Reggae song. Artists such as Shabba Ranks, Dennis Brown, Gregory Issacs, John Holt, Yellowman, Super Cat, Mad Cobra, Peter Tosh, Sanchez, Tenor Saw, Millie Small, Lady Patra, Buju Banton, and Terror Fabulous, Charly Black, Shaggy, Beres Hammond, Sean Paul, Gyptian, Tanto Metro & Devonte, Chaka Demus & Pliers, Busy Signal, Vybz Kartel and Mr Vegas have released countless amount of classics.
