Christian Reggae Music

Christian Reggae Music or Christian Music Reggae is one of the fastest growing sub-genre of Reggae music emulating out of Jamaica and the Caribbean cementing its roots in the world of music today.

This genre started back in the early 1990s and it is continuing to grow in popularity with an increasing number of artists and fans alike.

Even thou in Jamaica some of the songs are classified as dancehall music the world might tag them as reggae.

There are a few hardcore dancehall artists who are presently doing Christian Reggae Music who once did secular dancehall music. Artists whose name is high on the list are Papa San, Lt. Stitchie and Mr Vegas.

Artiste such as Beenie Man and Busy Signal has also released Christian Reggae Music. Beenie Man released a track titled "Gospel Time" while Busy Signal's tracks are "Praise & Worship" and "Why I Sing".

Artists such as Chevelle Franklin who is well known for her collaboration with Beenie Man on the popular Dancehall Queen song and George Nooks has converted to only doing Christian music.

As the Christian Reggae Music genre grows, more artists are establishing themselves as Reggae gospel artist. Names which readily comes to mind are Goddy Goddy, DJ Nicholas, Choozen and Prodigal Son.

In December of 2015 of the most controversial, hardcore and raunchy female dancehall artist Lady Saw called it quits on her Dancehall Music career, got baptized and started ministering for the lord.

Here are the names of some artists who are either doing Reggae Gospel music or have dabbled in the genre before, they are Clive Tennors, Hopeton Lewis, Sanchez, Carlene Davis, Richie Stephens, Judy Mowatt, Junior Tucker, Joan Flemming, Claudette Clark, Thrillers and Wayne Marshall.
