Nina Sky - The reggae side to their music. They are an American identical twin, named Nicole and Natalie Albino.
They were born in Puerto Rico on March 13, 1986, but later moved to New York.
When they were seven (7) years old they wrote their first song titled "Sisters".
In 2004, they were introduced to Cipha Sounds a Dj who was signed to Star Trak Label owned by Pharrell and Chad Hugo.
Producer Cordell "Scatta" Burrell had just released his popular dancehall/reggae riddim "Coolie Dance". The girls loved it and decided that they wanted to record their new song which they had just written called "Move Ya Body" on it.
The song was released on April 24, 2004 and it was a major hit in Jamaica and USA where it peak at #17 on the Billboard hot 100 chart. In Germany, France and Australia it peak at number five (5) on their local R&B chart.
Move Ya Body was also remixed with Jabba and Vybz Kartel. Which did very well on most dancehall and reggae charts worldwide.
In 2009 they appeared on Major Lazer's album titled "Gun Don't Kill People, Lazers Do".
Even though they are not a reggae or dancehall group, they are well received across these genres.
Other genres performed are, Hip Hop, Reggaeton, R&B and Dance-pop.
They have since released two (2) albums.
1. Nina-Sky (2004) and
2. The Other Side (2010).
