Macka Diamond Dancehall Reggae artiste and Author

Deejay Macka Diamond also known as "Money O" released her Autobiography.

Her Autobiography was released in the form of a book titled Grown and Sexy - 40 Life Lessons Every Woman.

This is her third Novel, the first was "Bun Him!!!" Jamaica's first Offical Dancehall Novel, second novel was "The Real Gangster's Wife".

Grown and Sexy will be launched at her 40th Birthday Party on Saturday January 8, 2011 at Waves Beach in Portmore, St. Catherine.

In an Interview Macka said "The book is just about me, my whole life and what it means to fell grown and sexy. It's telling all about me from the beginning, my struggles, the ups and downs and how I got involved in the industry".

All of her books were published by Pageturner Publishing, CEO of the company Karl Larmond said "Unlike her previous Efforts, Grown & Sexy is not a novel, so it's way different when compared to both "Bun Him" and The Real Gangster's Wife".

With more than 20 years in the Dancehall Reggae business, Diamond said that her fans can expect a new and more grown-up Macka Diamond for the year 2011.

She plans to stay away from mix-up and stick to a happier environment and she wishes all fellow female deejays well especially the younger ones.

Macka who's real name is Charmaine Munroe was born in Kingston and grew up in Portmore.

She attended Holy Childhood High School, an all-girl Catholic School in Kingston, but even then her focus was more on becoming a deejay than on her studies, proven time and time again with her skipping her art classes in order to practice her skills and to entertain her friends at the back, or some secluded area of the school.

The influence of music was around Charmaine from an early age. Her father, Phillip Munroe, is a record producer who not only worked with some of the greats, including the likes of, Gregory Isaacs, while also being close friends with legendary Dancehall Producer, King Jammy’s, and Reggae Music’s Production dynamite duo, Sly & Robbie.

It was after hearing artists such as Sister Nancy (aka Mama Nancy), a female deejay trailblazer, that she decided she too was going to become a deejay.
