Gangalee Movements Striving to be The Best
Gangalee Movements - Born in Nassau Bahamas in 1982, Gangalee has always had a love for music and entertainment.
Early influences such as Michael Jackson, Garnett Silk, Bobby Brown and Bob Marley made a strong impact on his journey to becoming the well versed entertainer that he is today.
Growing up, he learned to play many instruments such as drums, piano, trumpet and trombone just to name a few. However, his interest in the craft of selecting music and sound systems grew after listening to many mix tapes from local sounds like Bucks Records, Scooby Doo, Baker Boys and Jamaican sounds like Stone Love, Metro Media and Bass Odessy and Waggy T.
In 1999, he bought his first sound system and from there the rest was history. He frequently played at many different venues like the World Famous Zoo nightclub, Club 601, and others just to name a few.
In 2001 he migrated to Miami, Florida to complete his Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems where he teamed up with his friend Stryder.
The two together formed the sound as we know it today, Gangalee Movements. The Gangalee Movements International sound is now composed of members DJ Destruct, Dj Alex, Dj Joey Bullet and Stryder.
The selectors specialize in Reggae, Dancehall, hip hop, soca, Top 40, kompa, house and R& B. Gangalee Movements played at many venues in South Florida including Club deep, Mad House, Nocturnal, Rendezvous, Spirit Night club, Pangaea, Kolanut, Blusters, Sostas Lounge, Hollywood Live and the list goes on.
Gangalee also played on numerous Caribbean radio stations such as, Riddims 94.5, Famous Radio, Socajam/daoneradio and most currently Starzfm 91.7fm.
With the notoriety of mix cds and radio shows, Gangalee Movements has toured Canada, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Tampa, Georgia, Turks and Caicos and The Bahamas.
You can listen to Gangaleemovements on on Starz FM www.starzfmlive.com 91.7 Wednesdays and Friday nights at 9pm. Gangalee’s success on the radio has landed him a role as a host of the new TV talk show “The Mix” which aired on Teleamerica, Ch. 88 Comcast Fridays at 11pm and Saturdays at 8pm and 11pm. Gangalee Movements strives to be the best at what they do, to be a well rounded sound in all genres of music.
Gangalee Movements International is a movement based on self actualization, Upliftment and empowerment! Music is a tool, Knowledge is the key!
