HIS parents named him Christopher Anglin, but he is known to a few in music circles as Deno Gee.
The up-and-coming singjay is however, striving for a larger audience with his latest single Live the Life.
"This
song is a message to myself and others. It's about living the life that
pleases us and not trying to please others. When all is said and done,
the Almighty is the one judging us, and not humans," he told the Jamaica
Observer.
Life the Life was released last month and produced by The Unthinkable Records.
A
past student of Jose Marti Technical High School in Spanish Town, St
Catherine, Deno Gee said his musical interest was sparked at 12 when he
accompanied his father, dancehall artiste Angel Doolas, to recording
sessions.
Now 21, his inspiration comes from the daily happenings and are social commentaries.
"The
lyrics that I pen and record gives every listener something to think
about. It's not dull and dry ...it's more like food for thought, and
that should be the ultimate goal of every artiste," Deno G told the
Observer.
His other releases include Girl I Want You; Pretty
Panty, a collaboration with Lisa Hyper; and Bank Account, featuring
Angel Doolas.
