Reggae artist Cali P's Open Letter About Inspired Music

Greetings. After years of getting Messages and questions in Interviws where Cali P never answered on the Subject, here now is his letter about INSPIRED MUSIC the Label of wich he is one of the founders. You are free to share it to your contacts and to podt it on your page. THANKS

Cali P's letter about the Inspired Movement

People, I am getting a lot of messages regarding INSPIRED MUSIC CONCEPTS, which is a label i set up a few years ago alongside Phantom in Jamaica where I live since 4 years now in order to push positive music to a higher level.

As some of you may know, I have distanced myself from the label a long while ago now - without ever giving any formal explanation. It has come to my attention due to the amount of messages that i have been receiving that a clear statement has to be made.

The first time INSPIRED was put in a song (called Mr Collie) was back in 2008 alongside Mykal Rose, following that I met up with my long time friends Tanner Hall and Eric Iberg and alongside my DJ Phantom at the time, we decided to setup a real company where everyone would join forces: INSPPPIIIRRRED!!

First of all it has to be made clear to people that now there are 2 separate entities, INSPIRED MEDIA CONCEPTS (Tanner Hall and Eric Iberg) and INSPIRED MUSIC CONCEPTS.

The idea was to push POSITIVE music or even specifically my music to a next level alongside Action Sports, unfortunately it became clear to me quite quickly that my businesss partner at the time did not share the same goals, following an agenda that he alone knew the reasons of.

In order to get away from some very negative influences and vibes, i was forced to distance myself from the MUSIC CONCEPTS entity, which has now unfortunately evolved in to a label which is doing what some would call "music without substance": promoting violence, money, selfishness, freakiness and other things for which i do not stand and naturally never what Inspired Music stood for. It has unfortunately taken the label to a place that no one even seems to follow or care, because the vibes is simply just not there. Please understand that INSPIRED MUSIC CONCEPTS has since over 3 years nothing to do with Cali P or INSPIRED MEDIA CONCEPTS.

RastafarI brought Inspiired music to the world, but Rasta does not dwell where there is no spirit. Inspired was never about getting money riches, but a way to push positivity out in the world. A concept of real love, devotion, happiness, positiveness, progress, creativity, righteousness and unity. That's what brought Inspired. The time i realised that my business partner was following his own personal agenda was the time where i had to take myself away.

Since then several artists have joined and left Phantom the same way i did and slowly but surely the TRUTH about the matter is starting to appear, Negative people will always dwell in Negativity. Jah Lives and Doesn't sleep and gives good and wicked people exactly what they deserve. Although my business partner tried to stop my career by taking away my access to the very studio we built together or deleting me off all the access to the Inspired Music Facebook and E-Mail accounts, I decided not to focus on badmind attitude and moved out of the house in order to find more like-minded people to work with in Jamaica (which i did within the DIGITAL B family, to whom i am very grateful for having stood up for and with me in those hard times).

What happened in the past cannot be changed, and i have gained both experience and knowledge even through all my own mistakes, and what does not kill you only makes you stronger. I must once again give thanks to all the opportunities which have been given to me and especially to Tanner Hall and Eric Iberg who have believed in me since day 1.

Everyday of my life i have been inspired, sometimes by happiness and sometimes by sadness. Bob Marley said "Time will tell" and "Jah will never give the power to a baldhead to run come crucify the dread". The greatest thing about truth is that it always reveals itself, and what is in the dark must come to light.

1 Love goes out to my Family, Brethrens and sisters, that have been my main support throughout the years, who stay by me through the ups AND the downs, and a special big up goes out to all the ones who have the 3rd eye open enabling them to see things deeper. I have read every single message you sent me asking about Inspired over the years but i never answered to anyone about this subject because I didn't know what the future of Inspired Music is gonna be like. I don't live with bad vibes and I just let time and reality lead the way on this matter. I couldn't say I left Inspired because after all its one of my great visions in life. And still, as long as Inspired Music DON'T serve the purpose it was created for, as long as we don't work towards the vision that brought forth INSPIRED it will never get to what it was created for and that includes success.

I wrote a song called FORWARD which was released almost 10 years ago and continue to live by that word, rasta will always be ahead of negative minded people, and the devil will always fight and try to find his way in when Jah Children come together in an effort to stop Unity - But If I wasn't ready for that fight i would have been working in a Babylon Office Job since a long time now! Rasta trample devil! I know my purpose in life.

musiCALI-sPeaKING is the answer. We were all TOGETHER working on that. Me, THall, Highberg, Fayabud, Craigy D, Hemp Higher and even our duppy friend too… but don't get it twisted, we bun duppy.

Jah say ORGANISE and CENTRALIZE!

**** Time is now*****
