Alkaline - New Rules Live Performance Video 2017
Alkaline - New Rules Live Performance Video 2017 - Alkaline, after a nearly three-year absence from a local stage, pulled thousands of patrons to the National Stadium car park at New Rules on Saturday, proving he indeed has the key to the city.
The 'man himself' Alkaline, after waiting some time for the stage to be cleared of eager patrons, ran out shortly after 3 a.m., to a huge reception, rivalling only Mavado's on the night.
Alkaline entered the stage signing, "we make it pass, all of the drama," possibly in reference to his recent brush with the law.
'After all', he delivered hits from his catalog, old and new, to eager fans who sang along word for word, as the 'Champion Boy' brought the curtains down on a night filled with excitement.
Earlier, performances got started with Jahmeil, who lit up the stage with a multitude of hits from his catalog.
The customary juggling between performances was provided by Coppershot, Rebel T, DJ Banka and Team Shella.
This, to the amusement of many patrons, was skilfully crafted, as no songs from Gaza affiliated artistes were played.
The Vendetta/Gullyside influence reigned over the event and the union was echoed by the head honchos Mavado and Alkaline.
