Romain Virgo

"The Rume Rame King"

Romain Virgo also known as the Rume Ram Kid, making it big internationally.

Romain bursted on to the dancehall reggae scene in 2007, when he won the The "2007 Digicel Rising Stars" competition, by singing and dancing his way to first place.

At that time he was the youngest contestant to won this competition. This was better in 2010 by Dalton Harris who won it at age 16.

Ever since he won the competition he has not stop working, performing reggae, lovers rock, dancehall, roots reggae.

Virgo is now a household name in Jamaica, some of his chart topping hits are:

In 2010 he released one of reggae music most anticipated album which was self titled for VP Records. Virgo is now one of the most sucessful artiste coming out of Jamaica.

When he was asked about this he said, "I will never forget how my love for music began and my humble beginnings.

The singer said growing up in a Christian family has allowed him to remain grounded while dealing with his success."

In 2010 he was voted as one of the top 30 dancehall reggae artiste, other reggae artists listed in the top 30 includes Beres Hammond, Jah Cure, Queen Ifrica, Busy Signal and Tarrus Riley.
