Recording artiste K Starr
A self-proclaimed product of his past, rapper/singer/dancer Kemar Forrester aka KStarr diverse history helps create his sound.
K Starr was born in Kingston, Jamaica but has called Brooklyn, NY home since the age of 4. Living in Brooklyn was a fairy-tale though, and the hard life KStarr experience became the starting point of his artistic passion.
Dancing and performing to music became KStarr's escape from the unwanted life around him. Incarceration, homelessness, and life on the streets transformed into lyrical content.
With influences by Michael Jackson, Missy Elliot, Jay Z, Vybz Kartel, Bob Marley and Sizzla, along with his Jamaican heritage, and Brooklyn life mixed together to bring KStarr's signature style.
He developed a style of rapping and singing to entertain his friends, captivate his fans with songs that could be dance too and related too at the same time.
Currently in the studio with Freshly New Productions KStarr is perfecting his craft, creating a stunning live performance and is ready to take on the world and industry.
