Tony Rebel's Pepsi Rebel Salute, Jamaica's top roots reggae show.


The 17th staging of Rebel Salute will be held on January 15, 2011 at the Port Kaiser Sports Club in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica.

This annual festival is now sponsor by Pepsi cola. It's now call Pepsi Rebel Salute.

For all conscious upcoming artiste, promoter Tony Rebel is giving them a chance of a lifetime to perform on his show.

He will be going across the island of Jamaica with a talet show, searching for new talent.

Dates and venue
November 13, 2010-Dump up Beach, Montego Bay
December 4, 2010 -Negril Beach Park, Negril
December 18, 2010-Junction Square, St. Elizabeth

Pepsi Rebel Salute is a "Roots Reggae Show", so patrons and vendors attending this show will only be able to by or sell Natural Juices, Herbs, Vegetables and Fruits.

* No Meat
* No Drugs
* No Alcohol

It is consider to be a family friendly event.

The line-up for the 2011 show has not yet been released but patrons can expect to see some of Reggae and Dancehall's music top artists/performers in action.

Some of reggae and dancehall artists who has grace the stage at rebel salute are Luciano, Jimmy Cliff, Bunny Wailer and Etana.

I have never missed a Rebel Salute. However in the last few years I think the line up has gotten crowded.

I think less artistes for the line up could suffice, that will allow more time for the performances.

Artistes like Queen Ifrica,Etana, I-Octane do us no good in 10 \15 minutes.

I hope Tony Rebel and Flames Production will look into this.

Still looking forward to Rebel Salute 2011.
