Reggaeton Music - Daddy Yankee

The Panamanian people was the first to discovery this genre of music but in the 1990's the Puertorican adopted the music and gave it the name.

This has now covered all genre of music from dancehall, reggae, hip hop, Latin Pop and Merengue among others. This music is easily identify by its unique beat.

The beat is said to have been taken from the hit single "Dem Bow" by Shabba Ranks which was released in the early 1990's.

You can now enjoy this music worldwide from the Caribbean, Latin America, The United States and Europe but the music is more closer to Puerto Rico.

Like dancehall and reggae which has a lot of dance moves build around it, Perreo is the dance done when listening to this hard hitting genre of music.

Artists such as El General, Chicho Man, Nando Boom, Renato, and Black Apache are said to be responsible for the invention of this beautiful music.

This genre has become a staple in many parties and events with the ever increasing popularity of "Spanish Reggae" worldwide.
