Vybz Kartel First letter from behind the Bars (part 1)

Vybz Kartel First letter from behind the Bars (part 1) - An Article posted on the Jamaica Gleaner website on March 4, 2012, have a number of Jamaican local and international mad!!.

The article which is written by Miss Carolyn Cooper headline is "A letter from Adidja Palmer".

Adidja Palmer is the Popular dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel. In the article she said that the incarcerated artiste has send her a letter from the Horizon Remand Center where he is been held on a number of charges.

Below is a section of the letter reported received from Vybz Kartel by Miss Carolyn Cooper

"Dear Ms. Cooper,

Good day to you and i hope you are in the best of health and the highest of spirits, but I am not.

"Ms Cooper as you know i am in jail on numerous charges and i'd like to tell you that i am an innocent man who needs your help because i'm being painted as this evil 'D.J. by day, don by night' murderer who is society's number one cause of crime and violence. The police is using the media to slaughter me and as such i don't think i will get a fair trial. They are using the media to form public opinion of me that is so contradictory to the person that I really am. They (police) have tried my case in the public & found me guilty.

"Every single piece of alleged evidence, every new development in the case is thrown on t.v. as if this is a soap opera, but i can assure you that this is no movie to me. This is about my life and my freedom and i take them very seriously.

"My charges are merely allegations, but they are giving the public the impression that i am guilty and that is not fair to me or my family.

"I have been to court on numerous occasions and saw hundreds of accused men who are charged with heinous crimes like murdering children, killing police officers, burning & shooting whole families and i have never once saw police on t.v. discussing the development of those cases, much less every week, as in my case."

(To Be Continued)

This is the first of what we think is a two part article..

Something for a thought

Agree with me or not. I live in Bosnia and find dancehall to be the best sound ever created (including riddims and amazing voice "pitch" that artists use..) The only thing that makes me sad are sick and with no doubt offensive words used to describe vagina dick fuck women hoes etc.. I wonder about Vybz Kartel often and just think about what could have hurt him in life to become so sadistic in terms of use of words.. (*also other artists too..You dont need me calling out names do you?) I also see comments on youtube channels and debates taking it to the level of microscope and agree with me or not, it hurts to see how people dig their own grave just because they refused faith (in this case christianity) If you people dedicated as much energy on studying the word of God as much as you use for "talking components" that in the end become the past and nothing more.. Everything fades over time.. Money fame, women etc but the only thing that remains is belief that something better is awaiting for us after all this suffering.. Its not just Jamaica its the whole world that has almost same problems.. Evil doesnt choose sides it only wants to destroy.. If you gang bangers just gave a "true" chance to Bible study you would know why everything is happening the way it is and what the solution is...My favorite quote to think about is: Romans 5 18-19 18 Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. 19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous. I just wished things would turn in dancehall to realize true meaning of love but who know.. All I know at least in my case is that suffering brings you closer to God.. Thats when you trully start to see clearly.. Many people convert when they reach the bottom of the abyss. They saddly try every other way but realize that the only way is the person who lived 2000 years ago who was humble, forgiving, and even though he didnt have to, he took a mans body and sacrificed himself for all of us including World Boss and them alike. And he did it for the pure unconditional love that he had towards us.. I truly hope dancehall artists one by one take turns to things that are truly valuable because in the end we are all gonna take that last breath and collapse to the floor and be resurected and judge for our doings through life.. Ask your self is it worth it? God bless you all.. I hope Vybz is trully inocent and that if so, he walks a free man and start a new life..
