Tropical Energy Band Relaunched

Tropical Energy Band Relaunched - Ralston Russell was very

popular with his Tropical Energy Band in St James in the early 80’s.

Now several decades after the band stop playing, he has now re-emerged on the scene.

On November 25, 2017, he returned to the SOH Club and Sports Bar and Restaurant in Hopewell and backed several artists for the Ernie Smith and friends’ concert. 

Tropical Energy Reggae Band

Leroy Gibbons, Hopeton James, Peter Metro, Short Boss, Denny J, and Miguel Antonio were some of the artists backed by Tropical Energy Band.

The band played so well that he is now negotiating contracts with clubs and hotels.

Starting out in 1977, Tropical Energy did gigs in western Jamaica and also played at My Father's Place in New York in 1984.

The Band is now based in Montego Bay and Hanover, Jamaica.
