Willis and the Illest Bahamas Reggae Band.

Willis and the Illest Bahamas Reggae Band.

Willis and the Illest reggae band was started back in 2008, and have been turning Nassau's music scene on its head.

The group, which is led by vocalist and guitarist Willis, has seen strong growth in a country that, while it listens regularly to reggae, is largely devoid of home-grown reggae performers.

The group is set to release their latest single "Lion in the Jungle" early this year 2012. The track is a collaboration done with US Virgin Islands artiste Pressure.

They Band/group got its inspirations from artists such as Bob Marley – he’s the guy that really gained a milestone and put reggae music to the world.Australian rock group Silverchair, Richie Spice and Jah Cure.

Willis and the Illest Band have performed in Abaco, at least three or four shows, That’s the only island other than Nassau that they have performed. But they are looking forward to doing shows in other island in the Caribbean and doing stuff internationally.
