Toots & the Maytals will kick off their 2012 tour season this month with five shows in Florida.


The shows will include the 'Icons Of Reggae' show in Ft Lauderdale on March 11 with UB40, Mykal Rose and others.

The US East Coast tour will end in the Northeast with shows in New York, Massachusetts and Vermont. Full itinerary for the March tour can be viewed at tootsandthemaytals.com.

Toots & the Maytals will be doing few dates in Colorado with JJ Grey in mid April before heading to Europe in May for a special three-week acoustic tour.

The first ever acoustic tour by Toots & the Maytals will support his acoustic Unplugged on Strawberry Hill CD/|DVD and Reggae Got Soul: The Story of Toots & the Maytals documentary set, which was recorded in Jamaica, aired on BBC in 2011 and set for release May 14.

Returning to the US West Coast and Canada in July, Toots & the Maytals are already confirmed to play at the Hollywood Bowl on July 15 and 'Reggae on the River' on July 22.

The band will tour Europe beginning on August 1 with dates in the UK coinciding with the London Olympics.
