Reggae artiste Nuklear eyes comeback with 'Mix Drink'

Reggae artiste Nuklear eyes comeback with 'Mix Drink' - Former Portmore Empire member Dwight 'Nuklear' Whyte is generating major heat in the street with his latest single, 'Mix Drink', on the Cramp Dem Productions label.

"The feedback has been really good ... thinking about doing a music video for the song as well to catch the summer," Nuklear said.

Nuklear has been working with the Brixton Music Group/ YardStyleEnt to raise his visibility and pump out more singles in 2018.

In recent years, he has performed at stage shows across the Caribbean and did a tour of Canada, with performances in Montreal and Toronto in 2017.

It has been a long, hard road back for the deejay, who has worked hard to re-establish his career after a scary, near-fatal gun attack in July 2007.

That event was compounded when he was involved in a car accident, which left him in critical condition, while on his way to the hospital.

The fallout from these two incidents sidelined him and prevented him from recording for over a year.

However, his experiences only strengthened his resolve, and he vowed to return to his craft with a vengeance, doing so in 2008.

Since that time, he has been grinding out the singles, waiting for his big break.

"It's been tough, but I worked through it, and now that work is beginning to pay off," said the artiste who is known for songs such as Eagle Fly, and Pimp Juice with Vybz Kartel.

Nuklear will be releasing another single, Bring Me Joy, on the Maths of Mind Productions label in early June.
