Masicka Now Able to Work In USA After Receiving VISA.
Dancehall artiste Masicka has obtained documents allowing him to perform in the United States of America. Corey Todd, the artiste's manager, said there has been an increase in demand for his client since he received a work permit two weeks ago.
"In every major city, at least three or four promoters are calling for dates. I have probably received more than 100 calls already," Todd told THE STAR.
He said that Masicka is scheduled to perform at shows in Orlando, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, and Washington DC.
"Basically, we will be flying every weekend from March going forward," said Todd.
Masicka told THE STAR that he is overwhelmed at being able to now access the US market.
"I want to spread my music on a wider scale, and this comes with great opportunities," Masicka said.
Huge platform The artiste said that he views the receipt of his travel documents as "a huge platform to showcase my talent".
Masicka told THE STAR that he is determined to silence his naysayers, and that he'll now be performing in front of huge audiences. He thanked them for some of the negative things they have had to say.
"They said I couldn't buss, and that I was an iron balloon. They said I couldn't get a visa; they said Corey was wasting his time, and look now. This is just the beginning. People will always talk, that's what mouths are made for," he said.
Masicka journeyed to the USA on Monday and has been photographed with hip-hop artiste Fat Joe, and according to Todd, the response from industry players there has been overwhelming.
Keen on not giving away too much about future plans surrounding his client, Todd told THE STAR that fans can expect great things, urging them to wait and see.
