Lybran is firing shots in his new song Labba Labba - Dancehall artiste Lybran is firing shots in his new song titled Labba Labba.
Recently released, the track is aimed at the dancer of the same name, who went on a rant and spoke about the death of famed dancer Bogle and who he thought was responsible.
“Some people say some unnecessary things sometimes to get attention or for whatever the reason, that is why I decided to drop this track; some people talk too much.”
Needless to say the track has been creating quite a stir in the dancehall and has garnered him international attention as well. Using his comedy, wit and his natural talent to appeal to his fans, he has confidently secured himself a place on the music scene with this release.
Labba Labba is produced by his long time friend and producer Deano Dean.
Working extremely hard to get his brand out into the world, Lybran has been out doing heavy promotions, including a recent visit to popular entertainment programme On Stage, where he spoke about the song and by extension his career.
“Over the years I have developed my craft and I have a knack for writing lyrics related to current affairs with fun and humor,” the artiste expressed, “each song I write should be better than the last so you can definitely expect more hits from me in the near future.”
The artiste, whose real name is Lamon Cousins, has captivated local and some international audiences with hits such as Rum Talk Part 1, Rum Talk Part 2, Bad It Up, Mi Nuh Trust Dem and Not Even A Dolla. The self proclaimed Rum Boss recently contributed his high energy vibes at Dancehall artiste Popcaan’s recent back to school treat, where he was billed alongside other local acts such as Jah Cure, Nesbeth, Iba Mahr and Popcaan himself. So far he has taken his craft overseas, to places such as Costa Rica and Canada – just a few stops on his journey to worldwide recognition.
Labba Labba is available for streaming and download on most digital platforms online.
