Dancehall artiste Kaepable Official Biography

Upcoming artist, Kaepable, born Howard Henry Jr. on July 18th, 1990, hails from 8 Miles in Bull Bay, St. Andrew. 

Kaepable found his love for music in high school, influenced by friends who were already involved in music. Initially, Kaepable was interested in making beats and the production aspect. However, a good friend of Kaepable, Blacka Pearl, told him that he has a great singing voice, and from there on his love for writing and singing grew.

Kaepable has now become a captivating, Reggae and Dancehall singer/songwriter. Such a militant and soulful performer, who takes listeners on a journey through a musical world where freedom and joy balance sorrow and injustice. His lyrics are reflective of his eastern roots and embrace the essence of the street life from an urban perspective.

Kaepable released his debut song entitled "Fi Wi Mother Dem" in May 2016 on the Love Inception Riddim for Mother's Day, which is now available on iTunes, Amazon, CDbaby and DistroKid. Gearing towards February's Black History Month, he is scheduled to release his second track called "Mama Afrika", produced by the newly formed Self Made Dreamz Entertainment (SMD) and Field Marshall Entertainment.

His performing experiences include a Cari-Med event, Curry Fest and a few community concerts. Kaepable is also a frequent performer at the Billy Mystic-led Jamnesia jam session, a platform where upcoming artists are given the opportunity to showcase their talent.

Some of his biggest influences are H.I.M Haile Selassie I, Bob Marley, Agent Sasco and Marcus Garvey. Kaepable expressed that generally his lyrics come from day to day activities, all his loved ones who may or may not support his career choice, the struggles he face and his experiences in life. These are usually where he draws his inspiration from to keep doing music at his best.
