Jamworld to host Fun in the Son 2014

Jamworld Entertainment Complex, in Portmore, St Catherine, is the new venue for the 11th staging of the Best Dressed Fun in the Son gospel festival and extravaganza.

Portmore was selected as the venue of choice primarily because "there has been a call from residents for the gospel festival to come to that community, so this year we decided to respond." said Dr Claudette Cooke, vice-president of HRD & PR at the Jamaica Broilers Group.

Not only will the festival have a new venue and new energy, but it will take place at a new time - Saturday, July 12, 2014.

The free-to-the-public event is being sponsored by the Group, through its Best Dressed Chicken brand, and produced by Glory Music.

Jamaica Broilers Group will play host to this annual event for another year, because of the Group's commitment to bring about change in the nation. Accordingly, this year, patrons can expect a wholesome, family-friendly, fun-filled event where young people can celebrate their love of God with their family and friends.

Patrons can look forward to a day stacked with activities, including a children's village equipped with rides, fun and entertainment; an Extreme Sports centre fully loaded with BMX dirt bikes, ramps, demonstrations and high-energy performances, and spiritual ministry on the big stage from leading gospel ministers, including Andrew Palau.

"We anticipate another wonderful event that will be a blessing to the thousands of Jamaicans expected to attend this year," said Tommy Cowan, managing director of Glory Music.
