Dancehall vs. Gospel Music

by Ovy M.

From what I am hearing,Dancehall should not be integrated with Gospel music because in my opinion it is too vulgar. It sound to much like secular music. Even though some of the Gospel music should be thrown out with the Dancehall music, Anointed Gospel music must prevail.

Just like a preacher who is not effective in reaching to the sinner man, music is no different. It is preaching in another creative format that reach massive amount of people. Anyone proclaiming the word of God should be held at a higher standard and must adhere to the principles of Jesus Christ. No water down stuff should be accepted.

The Artist must firt be saved and living a clean life, just like the Priest in olden times must wash himself first before he can make an atonement for the people's sin.

This preaching through Music must not be done for filthy Lucre only. Yes, I know the Artist must eat too, but it should more that earning a buck. I think I have said enough.

God Bless you all. Keep up the great work of producing quality music that touch the inner souls of people. I know you Artist work hard to bring us quality music, and I do not take it for granted.

May the Love of Jesus Richly bless you continually.
