Recording Reggae artiste Bushman Official Biography

Bushman is a reggae artiste out of the parish of St. Thomas Jamaica. He is a die hearted Rastafarian since the age of two.

He started his musical career at the Yallas High School as a member of the school choir and was also a member of the Yallas drum core. 

He was the bass player for the Band.

Like most of the artiste in the music industry today he too started out on a sound system. He was a selector on the "Black Star Line" Disco.

His big break came after he journey to Kingston and was introduced to producers Steely & Clevie of Studio 2000.

His first recording for them was "Grow You Natty". By this time most sound system started recording Dubplate with him.

In the 1990's at most Sound clash the tune which most sound systems/selectors would used to win competitions was "Call the Hearse". This is one of his biggest single and is loved all over the world. His first album was release in 1997 titled "Nyah Man Chant".

The name Bushman was given to him by Steely which means "Medicine Man. He was first known as Junior Melody. His deep smoothing voice is love worldwide.

A die hearted Rastafarian, he live on the Herbs,fruits and food of the land. You can sometime find him at the lush Bath Fountain which is a hot mineral fall, which produce hot mineral water.

When asked who was his mentor's in the reggae music industry he said "Bob Marley", "Dennis Brown" and Luciano.

His latest CD is called "Get It In Your Mind". You can purchase it on his website and also on I tunes.
