Vybz Kartel who's real name is Adijah Palmer was charge on October 3, 2011 with murder, illegal possession of firearm and conspiracy to murder.

The charges against Palmer were made following the conduct of an interview this afternoon by detectives from the Major Investigation Taskforce (MIT) in the presence of his attorneys.

The allegation is that on Monday, July 11, 2011, Palmer along with other men conspired to murder Barrington ‘Bossie’ Burton , a 27-year-old businessman and promoter of a Gregory Park address in St. Catherine.

Burton was murdered while he was standing with friends along Walkers Avenue in Gregory Park.

His Preliminary hearing will take place on Wednesday October 4, 2011 at the Half Way Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court.

i think kartel should be let free,somebody is trying to bring kartel down,why is it taking to long to show the world that he is a killer,when they have video evidence of him,am not even enjoying dancehall so much because there is no style better than kartel at the moment excempting the singjays like movado,ioctane ,Tnez and some more.djays none,aidonia very far from kartel,he is even causing Jahvince to sound fake,imagine where popcaan becomes the better perfoming artist at sting 2011,whats happening to the giants.free world boss so,listen to tracks such as coloring book,mi like that, cakesoap, danger,jamaica,check out the diverse in the styles no one so far other artist sound the same in their rap style,example sean paul,aidonia,bounty many more,i miss kartel.

shana you need to shut the hell up!!!you have no right whatsoever to call anybody filth,the image kartel protrays may not be to your liking but that doesn't make him a bad person.do you call everyone who does what they have to to make money for themselves and their famalies filth? like any other person who has been locked up,he's innocent until proven guilty and shouldn't be victimized,he's one of the best artist in jamaica though his style may not be liked by some it is loved by many.lady saw once said she sing about sex because sex sells and she likes making money so I believe that that is one of the reasons kartel does the music he does. remember innocent until proven guilty.

Even if Kartel is not guilty of murder, he is guilty of leading so many yutes astray with his outlandish lyrics.. promoting bleachin and the killing of our young brothers and sisters... i never have been a fan of his nor will i ever support anything that he stands for... i am acutally very happy that they have removed that filth from the streets of my beautiful country of JAMAICA... the island is betta off wid out him!!!
