Dancehall Reggae artiste Shaggy is to be honoured with International Humanitarian Award.

The artiste who's real name is Orville Burrell will be honoured at the 2011 Humanitarian Award to be held at Jungle Island in Miami Florida.

This year (2011) marked the seventh anniversary of the Peacock Soiree.

It will be hosted by Ambassador Sue Cobb, the president of the American Friends of Jamaica.

Proceeds from this year event will go towards Jamaican Charities in Education, Healthcare and Economic Development.

Shabby is best known for his 1995 single "Boombastic" and 2000 single "It Wasn't Me".
