Reggae artiste J Boog wins Best New Entertainer at the 2012 IRAWMA Awards

Wash-House Music artist J Boog has won the Best New Entertainer award at Thursday night’s prestigious 31st Annual International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA). The ceremony was held at Washington Park in Chicago, IL. J Boog was nominated in the category along with Laza Morgan, Protégé and Nkulee Dube. Voting for the IRAWMAs was completed by the general public on the IRAWMA website at http://irawma.com

Wash-House Music’s Kevin Foster said in a statement, “Wash-House and J Boog were honored to be considered for a nomination and are very humbled by winning an IRAWMA award this year. We would like to thank all our friends, family and fans for all their continued love and support. Mahalo Nui Loa”

J Boog has just finished successful tour legs in New Zealand / Australia and western US in June and is off to Europe for headline performances at Reggae Summerjam in Germany and more in Europe plus Hawaii in July. He will then be back in the studio finishing a special mixtape for Diamond Supply clothing and new tracks for the follow-up to the Backyard Boogie album. The #1 Billboard Reggae album chart topping release features the hit breakthrough single "Let’s Do It Again," plus "Every Little Thing" (feat. Fiji), "Sunshine Girl" (feat.
