Born Makeida Becford into a family of artists, she is following in the footsteps of her parents and began pursuing a Bachelor of fine Arts at the Edna Manley School of the Visual and Performing Arts.

This Beautiful, bubbly artiste is slowly craving her way into the dancehall and reggae music business.

Drawing inspiration from the rhythms and tropical landscape of her beautiful island home of Jamaica, Keida's artistic expression embodies multiple outlets.

Her creative flair sees her involved in expressing herself through multiple mediums including painting and crafting.

Ever the trendsetter, She was also one of the first female surfers in Jamaica. Keida's music is A fresh fun sound complimented and enhanced by strong Reggae roots, it's an old school style with new rules.

The artist started her musical journey In March 2009 when she recorded and released her first hit single "Jamaican Boy" ever since she has been fast carving her own niche in the Jamaican music industry with scorching hits such as "Hot it up" (Keepleft Productions) and "Can't Get Enough" (Birchilll Records).

Gaining more and more recognition through her outstanding consistency it is no doubt this female is a hard worker, She has made a smooth transition out of 2010 into 2011 gaining two awards in the Jamaica Star People's Choice Awards for Best new Female Artist and Best Sinjay.

She meant business when she started out the New Year with the release of her second music video for songs Bubble up (Chimney Records) and Carenot/Dance Floor (Jam2 Productions).

The video saw 3000 odd views in its first 4 days of release. She has only just begun and she's the one to watch!.

In June 2011 she release a soca track titled "Good Vibration" with soca star Shurwayne Winchester, the song is a remix of her previously released "Rock Guh Down".
