Who is the Most popular Reggae artist? is another question which we are frequently asked.


Right off the bat, I could say Robert Nesta Marley more popularly known as Bob Marley.

Since the origination of Reggae Music back in the late 1960s, there have been hundreds if not thousands of artists who have graced us with their talent.

We have artists such as Bunny Wailer s and Peter Tosh who were part of Bob Marley's back up team, also known as the Wailers.

Toots and The Maytals are also instrumental thru his song "Do The Reggae" contributed to the naming of the genre called Reggae.

Another great artist who could also be placed in the category of Most Popular Reggae artist is Jimmy Cliff.

Without a doubt, Bob Marley is the most popular Reggae artist, his music known globally and he has been credited at the Reggae artist introduced Reggae music and its message to the world.
