This is the artiste’s fifth album, his last being titled ‘Tell Me How Me Sound’, which was released four years ago.

The title for the album, as explained by the artiste is, “ Rootz Warrior because I am always defending the rootz and rootz music is positive music and uplifting. Without the root, the stem, leaves and branches cannot flourish and also Rootz Warrior is the name of my company.”

The three-year project has been executively produced by the Rootz Warrior label alongside Irie Sounds International. It features a 14- track compilation along with a surprise bonus track, which features work from top producers both locally and internationally. Included are collaborations with the likes of Beres Hammond, produced by Colin 'Bulby' York, and Richie Spice, produced by Walboomers Music from The Netherlands.

Some popular tracks featured are “Stand Up Inna the Fyah”, “Ain’t Giving Up”, “Your Love is Amazing”, Same Source” and “Moonlight Bright”.

“The Rootz Warrior”, distributed digitally by Zojak Worldwide, is scheduled for release in stores and on iTunes in February.

King’s album release is just in time for his upcoming US tour where he is scheduled to perform in states such as California, Alabama, Missouri, Minnesota, Ohio, Chicago, Pembroke and Bermuda.

Also on the 29th Feb, King hopes to feature a virtual listening session on sound cloud ‘warrior king music’. Fans all over the world will be given a chance to preview the album between 12:00 am to 11:59 pm Jamaican time.
