High hopes for Vershon's 'inna real life' Single

With his hit song 'Inna Real Life' burning up the local airwaves, Kemar Brown, popularly known as Vershon, is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with in the dancehall fraternity.

The 23-year-old artiste is working with one of Jamaica's most experienced producers, Christopher Birch, and is poised to do great things in the music industry.

Speaking with the STAR, the singer revealed his satisfaction with the direction his career is going in, particularly with the success of the single Inna Real Life.

"Honestly, when mi do the song, mi neva expect it fi blow up so," he explained. "Then again, music is not something you can predict. I am just happy with the love and support I am receiving, and I look forward to putting out more good music."

Vershon also revealed that, as a result of the success of his latest single, a follow-up is currently in the works.

"I am working on the follow-up to Inna Real Life. it is called Use To Hungry and it is a song written from personal experience," he said.

"I always write from that place of experience because it's real. we don't want to bring anything fake to the music, because people connect and relate to realness."

Vershon also told the STAR that, with performances scheduled for different events across the island in the coming months, his fans will get the chance to see him perform live very soon. He is currently working on a new single, Open Relationship, that is set for release next week.

With this single being a reggae track, Vershon stressed that it is important not to put limits on his career.

"In the future, I want to be known as one of Jamaica's biggest reggae and dancehall artistes, so I'm being versatile and open, because those are important ingredients for success."
