Tribute To A Hero

Tribute To A Hero

Tribute To A Hero (Remastered) by the legendary group the Ethiopians, has been released in celebration of the birthday of the late Jamaican National Hero, Panafricanist & Black Nationalist Marcus Mosiah Garvey.

The Ethiopians first came on the scene before there was such a thing as reggae -- like their contemporaries the Maytals and the Wailers, they started out in the mid-1960s, singing political and religious message songs in tight harmony over the ska and rocksteady rhythms that would soon slow and thicken into that familiar one-drop reggae beat.

This is brilliant composition, celebrates and remembers the great man...and should be on your playlist for August 17th and beyond !

Note: Jamaican Government Declares August 17th Marcus Garvey Day.
