The fifth annual Canadian Reggae Music Achievement Award is set for Saturday, June 4 at the Jamaica Canadian Centre in Toronto.

The CANADIAN REGGAE MUSIC AWARDS has been presenting and promoting Reggae artists and their music over the years. It has featured sold out performances from the start, the event serves as a social gathering for reggae music lovers and performers from Jamaica, Canada, USA, Europe and The Caribbean Islands.

Reggae producers and promoters look forward to attending this event each year hoping to see special artists that they would want to work with in the future. There are also reggae radio DJs from across Canada, USA and Jamaica in attendance checking out the performances of these artists so that they can go back and update their listeners with new talents.

Leading the pack of nominees are singer Tony Anthony for Best Male Vocalist, Best Reggae Single-Million Chance, Best Reggae Album - Million Chance and Artiste of the Year. He is followed by sinjay Tasha T with three nominations and Tanya Mullings with Two nominations.


Singjay Tasha T has copped three nominations with Tanya Mullings nominated in two categories.

Rygin King ready to take dancehall throne - He has been racking up hit after hit in recent times. His songs, 'Things Go Change' and 'How Me Grow', have been creating a buzz on the local scene, igniting the dancehall space and has helped to cement the up-and-coming artiste's place on 'the ones to watch out for' list.

His name is Rygin King, and while he may be fairly new to the industry, the artiste believes he is dancehall's next 'rising king'.
