Spragga Benz no longer a person of Interest by the police
Spragga Benz no longer a person of interest.
Dancehall artiste Carlton "Spragga Benz" Grant was interviewed by police from the major Investigations Task Force on Monday May 15, 2011 and the police said he is no longer a person of interest.
The artiste is now contemplating legal action after being named as a person of interest in connection with a triple murder in April 2011 in McIntyre Villa, Kingston, Jamaica.
It later emerged that Grant was overseas on tour and was scheduled to perform in Colorado on the night of the triple murder.
Lawyer for Spragga Marlon Gilbert Roberts said "The police stated that they are satisfied that he was not in the island at the time of the murder. My client was affected by what he has described as the spurious allegations made against him and will be seeking redress in due course."
Benz is seeking to assure his fans that he will continue to make quality music and to maintain his integrity.
