Sound Evolution Continues For RDX With New 'Respect' Single


Dancehall’s dynamic duo RDX, continues to up the ante with interesting and thought provoking material being released since the start of the year. Their brand new Code 91 Records produced ‘Respect’ single, is another addition to the duo’s growingly diverse catalog.



RDX has worked with Code 91 Records on a few previous projects and saw this new single as another successful initiative to partner on with the label.

RDX has already stepped far out of the proverbial box of ‘girls & party’ songs with successful singles like "Linky" & "Mr. VSOP" showcasing their diversity.


With the ‘Respect’ single, RDX intimates the importance of having general respect for others in daily life.


“Respect governs everything in life, look around and you will see the song played out in actions by people every day. Everybody who respect somebody or think they deserve somebody's respect will connect with this song” Renigade of RDX explained.


“Dancehall needs a song like this at this time. Since it is a habit going into the final stretch of the year that artistes tend to come out and start to disrespect their co-workers.” Delomar of RDX added


The duo also has plans for visuals for the ‘Respect’ single and is currently working on a fitting video treatment.


RDX’s sound evolution is definitely not over, they are also at the final phase of production on their ‘Two Floors Up’ EP set for an early 2016 release.


The artistes are confident that this EP is sure to impact the world and blow the gates of dancehall synergy wide open. The first single from ‘Two Floors Up’ is called ‘Side Chick’ and will be officially released later this month.


They also just released the official video for their ‘Mr Wacky’ Single; a tribute to Dancehall Dancing great Gerald ‘Bogle’ Levy, in a street premiere at the popular weekly spot Uptown Mondays in Kingston.


RDX is gearing up for a performance in Guyana in October before heading to the US for additional appearances.
