Roots Rising releast live opgenomen EP "The Root Sessions" - Na het succes van debut E.P. “Free”, die de band optredens op o.a. de Zwarte Cross, MadNes, BFO, Oerol en 2 Europese tours opleverde, komt de band nu met haar volgende release “The Root Sessions”.

Roots Rising: "With lots of joy we present to you "The Root Sessions". It's the result of a very intimate live recording session, where we tried to capture the energy and oneness we feel when playing live together. All songs are one takers, we hope you enjoy!"

De nieuwe plaat is een vrolijke en zomerse cocktail vol energieke raps en puntige blazers. In vijf nummers vertelt Roots Rising over hun “roots”, de tijd waarin we leven en de positieve verandering waarna de band streeft.

Roots Rising tourt sinds 2014 door Nederland en Europa met hun unieke mix van Reggae, Ska, Hip Hop en Latin invloeden. Dit bracht hen o.a. in Hongarije, Zwitserland en speelden ze maar liefst twee keer op Boomtown fair (U.K.).

Rygin King ready to take dancehall throne - He has been racking up hit after hit in recent times. His songs, 'Things Go Change' and 'How Me Grow', have been creating a buzz on the local scene, igniting the dancehall space and has helped to cement the up-and-coming artiste's place on 'the ones to watch out for' list.

His name is Rygin King, and while he may be fairly new to the industry, the artiste believes he is dancehall's next 'rising king'.
