Rental is real life to Dancehall artist Hydal
Dancehall artiste Hydal
With a new song trending in the dancehall space, Spanish Town based artiste Hydal is happy with attention he is once again garnering in the music industry.
Hydal, who placed second in the 2014 staging of the Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall Competition, saw positive feedback with his song ‘Board House’ years ago, but without the right support wasn't able to take advantage of the attention the competition gave him.
'After Magnum it was a good look and I got a huge fan base but without the money and the right team to set things the correct way it's difficult for young artistes" Hydal explained.
Hydal however kept recording and working to invest in his music career and is reaping the success with his new single 'Rental' produced by Yaad Of Fame Music out of Spanish Town.
"Am overwhelmed by the reception I'm getting for the ‘Rental’ song knowing that the hard work is paying off. I think the song appeals to everyone in the world because renting vehicles is a worldwide business, even I own a rental car company and experience the same things I sing about," Hydal added
The visuals will also depict a bit of what the song describes; men impressing females with rental cars that they pretend to be their own, with a bit of dancehall flare directed by young HD masterminds Magical Studios Ja, the video is expected to be released in a matter of days.
Hydal is also not losing momentum and has released additional tracks ‘King Ting’ and ‘Tourist’, and is gearing up to drop new tracks produced by ZJ Dymond and Zj Ice.
The artiste is set to perform this weekend at Good Vibes Only on Sunday at Kingston 10 Bar and Grill as well as on the upcoming Release Innovation College Tour.
