Reggae Sumfest 2015 headliner Rick Ross jailed
Reggae Sumfest headline performer Rick Ross is now waist deep in legal troubles as his matters with the law continue to rise.
The American Rapper and Mabach Music record label creator, who is expected to perform on International Night 1 at the greatest reggae show on earth on July 17, was arrested early Wednesday morning for kidnapping and aggravated assault.
But will his legal troubles prevent him from performing at Reggae Sumfest?
Reports are that cops arrested Rick Ross after he allegedly took a Glock 9MM pistol and viciously whipped one of his workers, causing injury to the man’s jaw and neck.
According to legal documents, the rapper got into an argument with his groundskeeper at his Georgia home he bought from Evander Holyfield.
It is alleged that Ross forced the groundskeeper into the guesthouse bedroom at gunpoint where he questioned him. Police say when Rick Ross didn’t get the answers he wanted, he pistol-whipped the guy twice, messing up his jaw and neck and chipping 2 teeth. The groundskeeper was so badly hurt he’s now on a liquid diet.
Rick Ross was DENIED bail and will remain behind bars until his next court hearing, which is on July 1.
The rapper is being arrested for the second time this month. Two weeks ago, Ross was busted for misdemeanor possession of marijuana in Georgia.
