Teff
Teff
TeFF is not your average recording artist. Creating an international buzz, his unique style is what you get when you fuse "Philly Swag" with "Reggae". He aspires to give the world a different kind of reggae...a type of reggae that everyone can listen to and enjoy. With his music being played in various parts of the US, UK and Jamaica, TeFF is determined to take the musical world by storm.
Since the release of TeFF’s album; "TEFF: Philadelphia Certified," his undeniable and unique sound has been gaining respect in many circles. The album features some Hip-Hop heavy hitters such as Bad Boy’s recording artist E-Ness, Division 1’s MVP Young Chris, the King of Philadelphia Gillie Da Kid, underground legends Reed Dollaz & Joey Jihad, and emerging MC Chill Moody among others.
Born in Philadelphia of Jamaican decent, TeFF turned to music at the tender age of 11 as an outlet to ease the pain of his parent’s divorce. Music became a solemn interest that forced his peers to acknowledge his outstanding talent. TeFF creates each musical offering by pulling from his greatest influences such as his mother, Bob Marley, the world experiences, and political entrapments. He has also shared stages with some of the biggest artists in reggae music, like Beres Hammond, Stephen Marley, Beenie Man, I-Octane, Spragga Benz, Cherine Anderson, and Kiprich, just to name a few.
TeFF has been traveling the world, recording in numerous award-winning studios and with Grammy award winning producers to create what music bloggers and critics are calling “…a dynamic kind of reggae…a musical breath of fresh air”.
The
latest album by TeFF is titled "We GREAT" and is being talked about by many across the globe. The project has productions from some of Jamaica’s best producers like Seanizzle, Charlie Pro, Young Vibez, and PayDay Music. The title track "We GREAT" is a high-energy, pride-filled track that is sure to motivate the listener. The “We GREAT” music video highlights Jamaica’s crowning Olympic moments and touches on images showing Jamaica’s independence from British rule fifty years ago this year. The summer is looking to be very bright for Philadelphia’s own: TeFF.
“I make music that inspires people to enjoy life, not to stress about what they do not have in life or to go out and take someone else’s…Music is life.” says TeFF. “Music is the voice of the world, so I compose music for both the young and the mature to listen to, to learn from and enjoy for years to come. That’s why I titled my new album “We GREAT” to reflect all who listen and love music, because together, we are ALL GREAT!”
TeFF has built a strong team to help him to further achieve greatness in this rough modern day music industry. His producer/videographer is Aden “TuchPoint” Emmanuel of TuchPoint Productions who is also based in Philadelphia and goes all out to put TeFF on the map. In Jamaica, his contact is upcoming booking agent Lesley Hayles.
