Reggae On The River 30th Anniversary celebrations July 31 August 1 - 3

What sets Reggae on the River® apart from so many other festivals is its tremendous heart.


This event arose in response to a need that a group of progressive, young pioneers saw in the 1970s for a community center, a cultural hub that would provide artful, educational and social services to their new home in rural, Southern Humboldt County.

Thirty years later, Reggae on the River® is still the primary fundraiser for the Mateel Community Center!

When you buy a ticket to Reggae and when you spend money in the concert bowl satisfying a craving on food or drinks, you are directly benefiting our local non-profits- our fire departments, our schools, our radio station, our environmental organizations.

Not only is your presence at Reggae a blessing to the land you dance upon and to all those you’ll meet here, but you’re supporting a rural community of people who are otherwise underserved and overlooked by government aid and support- just the way we like it!

And in honor of this rebel spirit, for our final pre-show newsletter we offer two tracks from the one and only Rod & The Ideals live at ROTR in 1991 - Marijuana Man and Life In The Hills. A homegrown Southern Humboldt talent, the music of Rod & The Ideals could easily be the soundtrack of the SoHum experience, so enjoy as you make your final preparations.

3-Day Main Event Pass
Price: $190

Offering the original Reggae On The River experience, this ticket admits one person to the 3 day main event (inclusive of camping).

It allows access to the festival grounds at 8am on Friday, August 1st, 2014 and a weekend worth of the best reggae and world music - August 1-3, 2014


4-Day Early Arrival Pass
Price: $250

With this ticket, you will be one of a limited number of people granted access to the festival grounds a day early on Thursday, July 31st, 2014.

In addition to earlier dibs on camping, you'll also be treated to an extra evening of epic early arrival entertainment including GAUDI feat. Michael Rose, Jahdan Blakkamoore and the Courtney John Project among others.
