Recording artiste Snow has released a new single, 'Hands Up',

International recording artiste Snow has released a new single, 'Hands Up', which has been getting good critical reception from reggae fans and music critics all over the globe.


The song, which features harmonies and grooves from the Mystic Revealers, is a call to action for the Jamaican people to tap into their resources, use their natural talents, and re-establish a sense of community spirit to effect change in their lives.

"I am just grateful and humbled that people love the song. I loved working with the Mystic Revealers on this track, and that positive vibe is maintained throughout the song. This one is for the people," Snow said.

Earlier this year, Snow made a return to the local reggae scene, when he scored a top ten reggae chart hit, Shame, featuring reggae legend Mykal Rose, which was produced by Florida-based Kent Jones and Kool & Dre.

Since then, he has been working with a number of local producers on new tracks for the reggae market. Hands Up is the first to be released officially.

Other standout singles include Africa, a song about the motherland, which features local musicians such as Stephen 'Cat' Coore, Bongo Herman, Nicky 'Rimshot' Henry,and reggae superstar Sizzla, who shows his musical chops on the record playing bass.

"The Africa record is going to blow people away," he said.

Snow got a personal and professional boost last year when he acquired a United States visa 11 years after his previous visa to the country was revoked.

Snow came to prominence in 1993 after releasing his debut album, 12 Inches of Snow, which contained the mega-hit, Informer. His other hits include Anything for You, a critically acclaimed and successful collaboration with several Jamaican artistes.
