Ranco teams with UIM, Musical Masquerade... for new single 'Mama Son'

Red-hot dancehall rookie Ranco has reaffirmed his presence on the music scene by teaming with hot production houses UIM and Musical Masquerade for the release of his new single Mama Son.


UIM was recently named Producer of the Year by the YVAs, a deserving honour for the tireless work the entity put out over the past year.

Musical Masquerade has been on a roll with its production of Rihanna Diamonds reggae remix and the collaborative single No Other Like You by Rayvon and Red Fox.

In a release to media, Ranco said the new single was inspired by personal experiences.

"Mama Son is inspired by everyday challenges within the music industry and trying to get that breakthrough," Ranco noted.

In explaining how the collaboration came about, he said, "After finishing the production, Musical Masquerade decided for us to work with UIM at their recording facilities to finish the project. We reached out to Blak Diamon who set up the studio time and we had Dinearo and Anju Blaxx handle the recording and mixing duties respectively."

Apart from the Mama Son single, Ranco has been busy in the studios churning out different projects. He recently collaborated with Chico on a single which is to be released shortly.

"I spend a lot of time in the studios working on my music and I am hoping to release new songs which are now being fine-tuned," Ranco explained.

The deejay said working with two emerging entities such as UIM and Musical Masquerade has had a positive impact on his career.

"This signifies that I am surrounded by competent and knowledgeable individuals within the industry and that my career is heading in the right direction," Ranco concluded.
