Popcaan Venturing into the Rizzla paper Business

Dancehall artiste Popcaan will be launching his own brand of rolling paper within the next few months.

The artiste, who already has a t-shirt line, says he saw the demand and decided to fill that gap with his Unruly Rizzla.

He further said, pointing to a STAR shirt; "Yuh see dat, me dat ... I am a star. A me sey weed, is my best friend, and from yu a smoke weed yuh haffi have 'Rizla'. Whenever we a smoke, we always a smoke other people 'rizla', so a nuh nothing if wi have wi own," he said.

Business-minded

The artiste said recording artistes should be more business-minded.

"Mi have mi own shirt and mi own hat, so it makes sense to have mi own 'rizla'. It's very important for an artiste to go in everything where business is concerned because otherwise from music, there are so many things that we can do. We can go into construction, producing and nuff other things. Mi decide fi do dem thing ya because mi recognise the importance of it. If a artiste don't see the need now, he will see it one day," he said.

The artiste recently executed a test run for the product. However, he did not wish to disclose the exact time that it will be released to the general public.

Popcaan recently performed at Absinthe's 10th-anniversary party hosted in New Kingston.
