Police label Tommy Lee Sparta “gangster”


The police have labeled Tommy Lee Sparta a gangster who poses a threat to the lives of persons attending stage shows.


Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in charge of the St James division, Steve Mcgregor says Tommy Lee Sparta is second in command of the Sparta gang based on intelligence.

Tommy lee who was scheduled to perform on Reggae Sumfest Dancehall night on Thursday in Catherine Hall was barred by the lawmen due to the gang wars in Montego Bay.

SSP McGregor says the level of gang activities has forced them to advice Reggae Sumfest promoters that they would not be in position to guarantee the safety of patrons in attendance.

Tommy Lee Sprata along with his lawyer is expected to answer some gang related questions during the course of this week.

The dancehall deejay has since threatened to take legal action for financial compensation.
