Omi builds fan base in Canada

Kingston, Jamaica, May 24, 2013 - Oufah Media & Productions Recording Artiste Omi is extending his rapidly growing fan base in Canada as the artiste was recently premiered on K103FM in Montreal. DJ Don Smooth played a number of his songs on his program ‘Street Sounds’ which received rave reviews.

The urban station G98.7 has been showing Omi non-stop support. This comes just ahead of a full scale Canadian Promotional Campaign expected to begin soon.

Omi first found his way into the hearts of local and international fans in 2012 with the release of his debut singles “Cheerleader” and “All Threes”. He then went on to record the very infectious “Fireworks” and more recently in true Omi style demonstrated his lyrical prowess with “My Old Lady”, a tribute to Mothers.

Released in mid April, in time for Mother's Day in Jamaica, the heartwarming ballad ‘”My Old Lady” is an inspiration to all Mothers who show selfless devotion and commitment to their children. The Gleaner in collaboration with TVJ hosted a Mother’s Day special “Tribute To Mama” which aired on Mother’s Day. The “My Old Lady” single was performed by Omi who also co-hosted the programme with Gleaner Online Brand Manager Terri-Karelle Reid, for the show.

Omi continues to release high quality singles and is working on his debut album, while currently undergoing daily rehearsals for his upcoming summer tour.
