In a recent speech security minister Senator Dwight Nelson said that him and Olivia Grange minister of Sports and Culture are looking at the Noise Abatement Act.

He said that "Jamaican are fun-loving people. We love to sit at the corner shops and our meeting place, play our music and play dominoes and drink and have fun."

Under the Noise Abatement Act Dancehall reggae sessions, parties and festivals are allowed to go until mid-night on weekdays and until 2:00am on weekends.

Since this law was past, the owners of sound systems, clubs and promoters has been feeling the pinch. Most of them are saying that they are not making any money because their events are being turned off by police officers too early.

Most patrons attending these type of events main complain is that the 2:00am cut-off time on weekends is way too early.

What's your views/comments on this?.

What time do you think parties should end?.

In my opinion as a DJ/selector 3:30am is a resonable time.
