No More Reggae Sumfest for Lady Saw, Spice Might also throw in the Towel!
by DHRW
(Jamaica)
Two of dancehall music's top female artists might call it quits on Reggae Sumfest for different reasons.
No More Dancehall for Lady Saw
Lady Saw said during an interview with Onstage TV that this year's festival(2013) was the last for her as a Dancehall artiste. The queen of the dancehall said "I’m not enjoying the music anymore, its pure bad mind in it right now'.
Saw who is now single after ending her 18yrs relationship with popular record producer John John, said she will now be giving her life to the lord. After delivering a extraordinary performance on dancehall night, she said "If I am going to ever perform again at Reggae Sumfest, it will be as a gospel artiste".
We here at dancehall reggae world wishes her all the best in her new life as a gospel artiste.
Spice Not Happy With Time Slot
After completing her set at this year's Reggae Sumfest(2013) Dancehall Night, dancehall artiste Spice thinks it’s time for her to move up the order in terms of time slot. Spice's performance at the recently held festival was well received, with some of the patrons even saying it was one of the best performance for the dancehall night.
Now she is saying that if she is not given a better time slot in coming years, she might just call it quits on the festival.
Well, we will wait and see what will happen next year as this talented dancehall artiste career continues to grow.
