“Be Free”. Nico Royale & Skarra Mucci Italy and Jamaica come together to speak about freedom. Third extract from the album “Ghetto Stradivari”
“Be Free” is the third single from the album “Ghetto Stradivari” one of the most interesting italian and european reggae release of the 2016. Nico Royale come up with a dancehall flavour tune produced by Mene from Trumen Records and featuring the “dancehall President” Skarra Mucci from Jamaica.
The song speaks about freedom, which is a basic need for all mankind. Freedom to be who you want to be and to choose your own destiny. Freedom of speech and expression. Emancipation from money and vanity. “Be Free” is a strong blast of nowadays society.
The video, shot by Stefano Pelloni and edited by Piergiovanni Sbriglia bears out the lyrics with metaphors and symbols. Set in a very famous italian seaside location it shows the immensity of the sea, the power of wind and an endless horizon. “Be Free” talks about freedom in a strict and figurative sense at the same time. It tells of the everyday man struggle against the world who wants every human being to be a slave for the system.
The video was premiered on one of the most important community of reggae worldwide, Reggaeville.com, on february the 3rd 2017.
