New Sound for the New Year for Latty J

As the New Year begins, recording artiste Latty J is setting her sights on International stardom and showcasing her talent to a global Dancehall platform. Last year saw the singjay bursting out locally with releases and music videos that showcased more of her though provoking and introspective artiste persona.

In 2014 Latty J released five singles under her Management label MV Music including the ‘Same Pay’ single that spoke up for equality for women. She was also featured on three video projects “Nuh Fraid” and ‘Protector’ Riddim medley videos and the hit collaboration with Mr Vegas “Who Rule”.

The year also saw her getting the opportunity to perform at noteworthy events including Reggae Sumfest in Jamaica as well as the Grace Jamaica Jerk Festival in New York. The artiste describes the year 2014 as the Break- Out year for her career, which is synonymous to the category title of her recent nomination in the 2015 Youth View Awards! Latty J is very excited for an additional opportunity to connect with the younger audience and fan base.

For the new year however Latty J is looking at having a bit more fun with the music “I want to record fun songs that people can dance to and sing every day, there is a place for all kinds of songs and I’m definitely versatile enough to do a lot of variety so expect a lot of dancing and fun in my new releases” Latty J reiterated

Latty J has already released a brand new singles “Bumpa” produced by Mr. Vegas. “This track is more hip, fun and trendy and for all ages; it speaks about females having fun and enjoying their bodies” Latty explained. A second single “Teenie’ will be hitting the streets later this month as well.

She will be performing her growing catalog including her new material on the RJR Group’s annual Cross Country Island Tour, which begins at the end of January 2015 and kick started her weekly series ‘Mix Liquor Fridays’ in August Town St Andrew to garner votes for her “Breakout Celebrity of the Year’ Nomination for the Youth View Awards.
