I was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica. I came from a musical background; my dad known as Apache Chief one of Jamaica's finest comedian/singer.
My Mother was a model and an actress, she was Crowned Miss Catherine.
I started singing at the age of 3, but before singing became my passion I liked dancing to it more.
I grew up on all genres of music; I have yet to have a favorite
artist. As I grew my dad brought me to every stage show I did whatever
it is I felt like whether singing or dancing. He always told me that as
soon as I graduate I can explore my music to my potential.
While I
attended Jonathan Grant High School, for every presentation I wrote a
song; which my teachers would save me for last it was always something
to look forward to.
While studying for exams I would write a song to help me remember stuff. I left Jonathan Grant High in grade 9 and went to a private school called Solid Base, where I studied specific subjects and Graduated at the age of 16.
During the age of 16 my Father Got very ill and passed, his passion for entertainment and my passion became one and now I am stronger than ever. His death has given me a powerful drive I know I can't let him down and/or myself.
Ever
since then my mother and my Best friend Kejon have been my motivators.
At age of 19, I finally got the chance to do professional music and
follow my dreams. As I mentioned, I am surrounded by music; my elder
brother Is also within the entertainment industry as he continues where
my father left off.
My first Single “Mr.Lowkey” Is produced By
Quantanium Records, which speaks on daily relationship situations from
cheating to just one night stands. As a result, that track got 4th most
selling single on the Hapilos Chart of the week.
My second
release “Lock It Up”, which is produced by Aidonia on the Ocean Night
Riddim, received tremendous Airplay and Positive feedback.
Another
Hits called “Born As A Hustler” Produced By Emudio from Big Ship
records, it's the most unisex song for me right now as I've been getting
a lot of male feedbacks and it’s great to be a female that can actually
sing something that really everyone can relate to. In addition to a
song called “Love Hate Thing” by Lee Milla Production in which I believe
most females could also relate too.
There has been a lot of
progress as to accomplishing my Dreams. I am presently signed/managed by
Manager Davila. I am currently expanding my horizon’s with photo shoots,
videos and knowledge towards the industry etc., there's a lot more on
the to come; just be on the lookout for NeeQah as I have lots to share
with all of my fans.
