NAYA RECORDS Newest Release Series NAYA SOUND SYSTEM VOL. 1
The Naya Sound System promises to rock dub, roots reggae, and electronic music fans alike. Led by Boston-based drummer, producer and engineer Nathan Sabanayagam, it has become an international collaboration between modern and foundation roots artists.
Making Jamaica his second home, Nathan sought out and recorded some of reggae's hit singers, including Johnny Clarke, Erol Dunkley and Frankie Paul.
After cutting the vocals to original riddims, Nathan returned to Boston to complete production of Naya Sound System Vol. 1 at Chillhouse Studios.
In addition to the recorded material, Naya Sound System performs live dub stage shows that integrate both the analog and digital worlds, incorporating cross-generational bass heavy dub and live improvisation sound technologies.
